Kimber – First – let me thank you for taking the time to ask your question and beyond that – thank you for being part of the conversation. My answer to your question is YES and NO. Let me explain YES first. In 1929 1930 Adolf Hitler was filling a void in the German peoples frustration with government, economy, culture…etc. He said the things that were obvious and made people feel like they were not the only one. He filled the desire of the people to have a strong man exact their wishes. He was a populist and social Nationalist. Two very dangerous combinations especially when the general population is broke and pissed off. That’s the YES.
Here is the NO. He is not the Hitler of 35 through the end of the war. He has not gassed people or violated Constitutional practices.
I think the graphic serves its purpose if it makes us all remember our past and tread with some trepidation based upon history.

I’m sorry but the graphic serves no purpose at all let alone lead us to remember the past with trepidation! I find it disturbing and irresponsible.
Obama came along at a time when the electorate was pissed off and tired of the establishment – would you suggest the zeal that he enjoyed to be Hitleresque? There have been many, many politicians in our history (maybe even most) who have faced a ‘pissed off’ base that they pandered to and lied to. The Trump phenomenon was actually created by these politicians who pandered to the base and electorate only to pull the rug out from under them and smile doing it.
And i have no idea why you think that a electing a populist and social Nationalist is a dangerous combination when at least half the population is ‘pissed off’ … that in my opinion is just what we need.

Your statement just reinforces the parable. Remember I am the one that said National Socialist is bad – you said good? Hmmm… I said beware and you said blow it up. Wow – God Bless you. – My reference speaks to that same void you explain that was filled by the previous crook and chief.
The only relational reference to Hitler and our current President of these great United States of America is he is in office and has filled a void that has parallel. of the early German 1930’s deficit of leadership and God fearing values. President Trump is not Hitler.
Allow me to say another way. The picture is reflective of a time similar to today. For those not able to identify with that, well, I guess that is why they call it interpretative art. If it offended you then it had the affect it was intended to. That of intelligent conversation among Americans. I think you are awesome – thank you for caring about something enough to give a damn. – many have broken give a damns and are taking too many large doses of Fook-it-all. – I apologize for the dealy in returnig your comments. I more than likely missed the notification. I hope it finds you in a calmer place in time. – NoMo
