The nation’s third most-populous state, Florida could offer the next breakthrough in a national movement to advance LGBT civil-rights protections, viewed by advocates as stepping stones to their ultimate goal of federal anti-discrimination law.

That is if the former RPOF Vice-Chairman and sitting State Representative Joe Gruters has his way.

Florida’s strategy, years in the making, aims to build bipartisan support with economic arguments and the passage of similar measures locally that show the LGBT protections can succeed. The bill’s backers must convince a Republican-controlled state legislature that all of Florida benefits from LGBT protections.

“It’s really about the math of being based here in Florida, but competing on a global market,” said John “J.T.” Tonnison, president of Florida Competes.

Any person who actually thinks must fix reason firmly in her seat , and call to her tribunal every fact, every opinion, in order to understand reality and solutions that fit natures design. For those of us that actually practice the lost art of thinking it allows us to have a lens that is not occluded by emotion, sensation and fear.

When people do not fix reason firmly in her place and underestimate both the possibility of a disaster occurring and its possible effects the normalcy bias takes over.

Situational awareness however is the complete opposite of the normalcy bias. It involves having a full perception of your environment and a comprehension of what may transpire in the near future. Because other people may seek to provide you with false information, situational awareness requires you to be the guardian of your own life.

And, because we only have limited control over our fate, disaster can still strike from a thousand directions. The fault then rests with us when we see danger coming and do nothing to get out of its way. Are we ready to provide “civil rights protection” for everyone that has a condition, syndrome or disease? Or will some end up being more equal than others for the sake of inclusion?

And with legislation like Gruters, Florida is facing a crisis right now that requires keen situational awareness.

In a recent major study titled “Sexuality and Gender: Findings from the Biological, Psychological, and Social Sciences,” researchers from Johns Hopkins found that there is virtually no scientific evidence that people are born gay or transgender.

They concluded that the issue is a mental issue as the sex of the human is set in DNA and that no LGBT gene exists in the human DNA Strand. So, you can either be a “Science Denier” and hold to the normalcy bias of the LGBT, or accept science and decide to help these people that are struggling with mental disorders. The conservative answer is to address the root of the issue and not the problems outcome.

What I suggest to Mr. Gruters (R)-Sarasota, and others that seem to believe that LGBT sexual behavior is normal and not deviant from natures course, is that you set reason firmly in her place and try to address the public health issue known as LGBT for the sake of humanity.

We must be willing to stand as adults and recognize the matter for what it is; a public health issue. There is no need for a complete political re-write of American culture for progressive benefit on this matter.  The science is in.

Trans persons suffer a 40% suicide rate. There are 700k self-declared transsexuals in America’s population of 323 million. By these numbers alone it supports the argument of mental health. These persons have a mental issue and we should be compassionate enough to admit it and willing to help them through their dysphoria.

If a man is equipped as a man how is he not a man? Is it because he “THINKS” he is not a man? If you agree with that then let me suggest in the interest of avoiding catastrophic outcomes for these humans we might try and address their HEAD and not their body.

A big danger in this legislation is the creation of a new perceived and accepted NORMAL. This normal as many progressives would have you believe it, is in direct contradiction of religious doctrine and violates the tenants of religious freedom. The LGBT legislation also violates the prescribed laws of nature.

Our Constitution already gives protection to everyone in the Republic. We do not need to begin to line item “rights” for slices of society. What we need to do is to set reason firmly in her seat, take a deep breath and pause for a second and reevaluate then need for legislation on this issue.

Either that or let the LGBT progressive leftist faction of the Republican Party consider a new party.

I have one last question for my enlightened Republican brethren.

Do you plan on introducing legislation to protect Heterosexual middle aged white males from being discriminated against because of our normalcy? No really I am serious, if you apply for a job as a bartender in a gay bar and admit you are not gay, do you get civil rights protection too?

You see how slippery this slope gets and why when you address issues with emotion and fail to fix reason firmly in her seat how quickly disaster can occur when abnormal replaces normal. This issue is not for government to decide. It is for society and our culture to decide. We decide normal, not the government.

This whole sorted affair reflects poorly on the RPOF and is another glaring example of the complete lack of principle and defined belief structure that represent the Republican party in Florida.

I mean really, is this what I am supposed to be as a Florida Republican, an LGBT supporter?

Political Reality

Sometimes we need to look from without to see within.

A good self-honest look in the mirror from time to time is required to maintain a strong foundation of adherent principle. This is true not only of individuals, but of organizations, groups, companies, families and so on.

When learning civics we were taught that the process of elections was to select from the best of the best that American exceptionalism had to offer. We were told to go and find a person that understood governance was for the protection of ideals, not the creation of governmental ideas.

What we were never taught was that any registered political party regardless of what you call them is really a corporation. They are not a governmental body or Constitutional authority. A political Party is required to register with the States as a company. They register as a different type of company than say a “for profit” or a “charitable corporation”. The political companies, that we call political partys, purposes are to raise money to promote persons to fill elected positions within government from their company. You know like the Mayors, Council members, Senators, Congressmen and Presidents as well.

The history of each of the two major party structures and their founding is particularly interesting and important to this discussion. The two major partys formed just prior to the civil war. They formed as an outcome of slavery and still carry the binary energy that developed them then. We never seemed to shake the negative bond that created these two partys, in some weird way it was harnessed and acted as propellant.

whigThe issue of slavery split the Whig party. “Conscience Whigs” in the North favored the abolition of slavery and halting the institution’s spread into new territories. The “Cotton Whigs” in the South took the opposite viewpoints. Following Scott’s poor showing in 1852, the southerners moved to the Democratic Party and the northerners to the newly formed Republican Party.

There was never a truly consistent Whig political philosophy, except in the negative sense of opposing excessively concentrated power in the federal government. Their objectives came about largely after their disappearance. With no Southerners in Congress and Abraham Lincoln, a former Whig from Illinois, in the White House, the Republican Party finally passed much of the economic legislation regarding banking and tariffs that had long been advocated by the Whigs.

We can say the same thing today about the two major Partys. Each Party has lost their ability to see the political philosophy that made their party viable. Not only are the major Party apparatuses unable to behave in a principled way, they are unable to legislate from their own platform of political ideals.

So what happened over time? How did these gigantic companies come to stand for everything they say they stand against? The answer is easy to see if you step back and take even a glancing look at the party landscape. This is where the introspection becomes a powerful tool. Remember that the Party is a corporation, a business.

The first similarity you find to a regular business is a Board of Directors. Of which there are several in the Republican and Democratic Party org charts.

Then there are donors; these are the income source for the company. Instead of “selling” a physical widget, the party sells ideas. If you like the ideas then you participate in the company. The Party generally creates a platform of ideals that express those concepts and promises, it is their marketing. The expectancy is that if you give the Party money or support their candidates, they will work to advance the ideals as spelled out in the platform. Rather symbiotic in it’s pure form. Simply, the premise is that if you like where they say they are going politically then you will support them.

There are also stock holders in the company. They are known as voters. The idea of our form of elections is “one man one vote”.

Along the way there is a point at which men with personal ambition and moneymonopoly-man wrestled power away from the stock holders. They began to hold influence over the company in ways that eroded the true political ideology and motivations of the platform as well as its supporters. Their influence promoted their interest whether it was concurrent with party political philosophy or not. They use the Party to elect beholden legislators for special interest purposes that are a benefit to the few and not the Nation.

In an effort to calm the shareholders whenever the cracks begin to form, the Party begins dispensing loyalist rewards and graft in an effort to keep the façade of ideology in place. It is important to understand that at a point in the development of the political party there ceases to exist a pure ideological inertia that drives the operations. It morphs into a bi-polar leviathan of greed and self-interest vs. principle. Some call it “compromise”.

Behind the scenes and away from prying ears and eyes of God fearing Americans, political organizations fulfill the obligations of big donors and loyalists before our interests. They do this while they declare their ideological motivation as a smoke screen for their back room deals. After all, they are a corporation and are very good at marketing.

So if you listen to what is said by the Party and its leaders and compare it against the actual legislative outcomes you can see this plain as day. This is never more apparent than with the current two major Party candidates for President.

Political leaders are willing to make excuse after excuse for those that violate the basic tenants of civility let alone principle. Why? They do it so that they may WIN. They have to WIN in order to fulfill their laundry list of favors, graft and pay off. They have to WIN to make good on their effort of deception and greed. They have to win to remain in power. They have to win to keep the Corporation relevant, the doors open and the money flowing in. “Our side good, their side bad”.

So when you speak of crony capitalism remember crony politics. It is even more dangerous to America and her societal fabric.

What we are seeing unfold in front of us is truly historic in scale. These days we live in will be written about and remembered for a long time to come. We are voting for a candidate so we can vote against the other one. How twisted is that? It is even more twisted especially when there are more than just the two of them on the ballot.

As far as I can tell, not only has the body politic become consumed from its own ego and self-indulgence but democracy, because of the lack of conviction to principle, is rapidly departing America as well.

America and her political system have become a hollow shell. There is nothing left but greed and coercion and the threat of coercion. We have forsaken our principles and denied our character. Our institutions are choking from the ruthless behavior of those that have hijacked it for personal wealth and power.

Body-PoliticAnd those that remain in the body politic to revitalize or save her are doing a disservice. The longer we string this gluttonous monster along the more we prolong her inevitable demise. Any system sick and riddled with dark intention that masks herself as the great American savior should be moved to the back pasture and taken from the earth. It is time for a renewal of principle.

When the authors of day’s future reflect upon the cause and the reasoning of the collapse of the two major Party structures and influence they will undoubtedly see the cause was simple. The Party stopped being an ideological vehicle for likeminded men to insure their independence and freedom. It has since been replaced with actors and charlatans abusing their power and influence for the interest of a few, over the interest of a nation’s people and her principles.

A lot of this was possible because of the trust voters / shareholders placed in the system. We gave absolute credibility to the leaders and stopped watching our own. We accepted the occasional morsel of principle they throw to the floor when we become too restless and we settle in an interest of unity.

There are a lot of actors in this long running play. And there is no one less responsible than the other. There are however those more principled in their intent than others.

There are a small percentage of Republicans and Democrats that still hold to the ideological premise of the political Party. However, the Party does not have your ideological interests as fuel for its inertia. So when the fallout from this embarrassing circus we call an election settles you can be sure that the ideological shareholders will be villainized and purged. There is at last no place left for good men to serve in the major political Party’s.

bigtent-on-fireSo I ask again, the big tent is on fire, where do you go from here? Because it seems like honesty has become self-sacrifice. Perhaps an affiliation with principle and not a Party is a direction to consider.

~ Eric D. Miller – 2016

“Today the path to total dictatorship in the U.S. can be laid by strictly legal means, unseen and unheard by Congress, the President, or the people. Outwardly we have a Constitutional government. We have operating within our government and political system … a well-organized political-action group in this country, determined to destroy our Constitution and establish a one-party state…. The important point to remember about this group is not its ideology but its organization… It operates secretly, silently, continuously to transform our Government…. This group … is answerable neither to the President, the Congress, nor the courts. It is practically irremovable.”— Senator William Jenner, 1954 speech

Honesty is Becoming Self-Sacrifice

It was never meant that our government be our moral guide or keeper. It was meant that a moral government preserves, protects and defends our Nation so that we could be a moral and principled people. We look to morally principled men to guard our liberty and freedom, not to legislate it.

statue-of-liberty-cryingAs a Nation we have greatly eliminated our participation in public influence and debate  at any real individual level. We have ceded our civic roles of discussion and free thinking. We have willingly handed the care and management of our society to the “nanny state”.

We have traded the stages, scripts and directors of our cultural pillars away from “we the people” and into the hands of progressive rebels.

America has relinquished our Liberty as a people and fall shackled not to the phony legislated ideals, principles and morality of governmental edict, but to the legislators and their keepers interests that keep us from exercising our free will.

“You may know society is doomed when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don’t protect you against them, but protect them against you; [and] when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice.”

–Ayn Rand, “Atlas Shrugged”, 1957

To be an extremist in the face of open conflagration against the principles of freedom and Liberty is to be on the right side of history.

Just make sure you know the ideals, principles and morals of the team you’re siding with while fighting back the existential crisis called power, greed, moral deprivation and Progressive idealism. There is no such thing as a lesser of two evils – they are both evil.

Remember, when the watchdog sides with the wolf, it is the sheep that are the victims.

The Newly Awakened

Much to the consternation of the political establishment strategists and global planning progressive elitists, the politically apathetic are being brought to life once again organically. Or maybe it is part of the larger agenda. Either way, their slow resuscitation is being caused in great part by lower wages, fewer jobs, debt, endless wars, corrupt government and just an overall lackluster shine to the American Spirit. They are known as the newly awakened.

Not so many months ago the major question asked by anyone halfway politically aware was “What is it going to take to wake these people up?” I guess the answer was a maximum limit to their pain!

I mean really, it seemed time and time again that “this surely will wake them up” type events have occurred and still mainstream America had no voice. No they were happily humming a song and singing along because everything was fine. Well at least that is what they were being fed and they did little else to verify the facts. Until, the reality of the economic and cultural decline started showing up in their home and their community.

As it turns out the once apathetic and flustered American woke up pissed off, in large numbers I might add. They sensed that someone was starting to mess with their happy blind relationship to the materialistic free market American dream. In other words, they are broke for the most part or are working like a beast to stay even. I get it. To quote from a previous post:

“Apathy does not make us stupid.  On the contrary, a great deal of energy is used to offset the world and hibernate in an apathetic state of existence. Apathy requires an acute awareness of the obvious. It is what drives some to having a broken “give a damn”. Many can only cope with the influence of the pressure of reality by excusing themselves from it and gathering in flocks for comfort. They yearn for a sheep dog.”

And now they are awake, angry and wanting revenge against whomever shattered their illusion of American integrity. In most respects some have herded together and really are angry political mobs.

Max HorkheimerFor years party elders purposefully repressed party size to the smallest controllable yet winnable margin possible. Why you ask? Because it is easier to control a smaller number of loyal people than to control a diverse mass of humanity. Well, at least when you are full of anything but the truth.

Political establishment leaders breed apathy to suppress over participation. Sometimes knowingly and other times occurring as outcomes of behavior.

The political Establishment leadership is every bit as blind as the newly awakened once were. They are blinded because they have been substituting their own self-honesty with self-justification. In other words, the ends justify the means.

And now the political establishments are facing their own head on march of the zombies. The newly awakened are on both sides of the DEM and REP camps and in the Independent and third party ranks. Neither party has even the slightest idea how to deal with the energy in a principled and constructive manner either. Nor can they see a way that will produce a viable and realistic outcome based in honesty and truth. And without it they continue to decay.

We do not need to stand as an organized body of politics, culture, race or social status until we can stand as individuals determined to exercise and preserve our rights of natural existence. We need to stand as an American. This is step one: “The Individual.”

Stand in example. Be the individual. Be honest with yourself, then stand for your principles whether they are the same as mine or not. Be self-honest in the process. Refuse to impugn your honor; the rest will follow for us all.

Your perspective may very well be different than mine. That being said, it is not negative, as long as we each focus on common ideals and principles with a measured degree of self-honesty and I might add civility.

Our family, culture, religion, country and world slowly grow and thrive or rot like a potato in the hot afternoon sun simply because of our choice to be or not to be self-honest and principled in the foundation of truth.

It is up to each man to make this world a better place. Not a politician or government. It is not a collective of individuals that makes us great. No it is collectively the individual that is the backbone of American Greatness and exceptionalism. It seems to me that honorable behavior is the least I can do to fulfill my civic obligation to my fellow man in the process of preserving freedom and liberty.

“If a man is to be free, he must be honest with himself. It is when a man is honest with himself that he can see the encumbrance that impedes his freedom. For freedom to flourish men must also be honest with one another. It is not until a man is honest with himself that he is able to be honest with another. In that honesty both men are able to find truths. It is from honesty that truth springs eternal. When men do not encumber the truth with themselves they further their own freedom and define greater truths with those around them. As truths develop and grow between men, a trust forms. It is an honest individual that may share truth with another. And in that truth one will know they are able to trust because they have seen and experienced the honesty and same truth another has shared with them. When trust is nurtured a relationship is formed.”

There is no right way to do the wrong thing

d vs r VennIf you are still adhering to your 1960’s paradigm of Democrat vs. Republican in its painted and framed glory, it is time to wake up to the new America. The agendas have wildly changed.

It is very important to remember that the Republican and Democrat partys do not exist as an official extension of the Constitution of this great Republic. They are private corporations. Their job, elect their guy, at any cost so they can control the halls of government and advance an agenda.

In truth, the two partys have become one. They have become a new third party joined not by registration but by ideology.

d and r vs p vennThe idolatry in progressive America has a firm grip on all levels of the elected class and the bureaucratic government worker class. It has overtaken our educational system, the press and our public square.

The Progressive philosophy has so deeply permeated our government chambers that it has culminated in an orchestrated legislative merry go round by both sides over the past one hundred years.

As a small sampling we can include: the formation of National Park Service, League of Nations aka United Nations, The war on poverty, The war on drugs, Planned Parenthood, IRS, EPA, BLM, DHS, Department of Education, Common Core, Healthcare, Medicare part D, patriot act, Immigration, amnesty, banks, wall street, industrial military complex, bail outs and soon bail ins, removal from the gold standard, etc.

While each party has contributed to these outrages and openly rebuked the other for their progressive affirmations, neither party has done anything to reverse the effects of any of them. Neither have they worked to remove the progressive institutional think and process from our midst and our governance. Why?

Simply because each equally embraces it with great self-interest and self-benefit.

Just be aware that what we allow today will be accepted as the new normal tomorrow.

There are growing levels of voter disgust and perceptions of disenfranchisement with and within the two major political tents. Each party has been losing enthused party members, because of their morally and ethically starved political apparatus.

  • Only 13 percent of Americans say they think the two-party political system in the U.S. works fairly well, while 38 percent say it’s seriously broken. An additional 49 percent say the system has real problems, but with some improvements it can still work. (AP-NORC POLL) 29 MAY 16
  • Neither political party inspires much confidence, either. Just 8 percent say they have a great deal of confidence in the Republican Party and 15 percent say that about the Democratic Party. (AP-NORC POLL) 29 MAY 16

While many still identify the two party ideologies as Liberal or Conservative the truth is that the apparatus that controls the mouthpiece of the Democrats and the Republicans are full on Progressives espousing new think, new speak and new intent.

The classic Liberal of the day and classic Conservative of the day has been scripted to the back bench and labeled as extremists or disruptive. They have been cast aside and promised scrap for their continued participation in the outright molestation of American Liberty.

It is both sides that have sold “we the people” out.

Then there are those that have been politically and civically “asleep”. They are also one of the causes for the failure of the political process. I am not sure you can convince me the process has not failed.

And of course the fourth column, no longer being the guardians of truth are delivering progressively biased analysis and messages to anyone they can convince or reach. And leaving short the discussion of the educational system and welfare state in an interest of words is enough to include them.

As party members we too have involved ourselves in and even made our raison d’être the advancement of our political party and its stated outward agenda. We were supposed to be awake and on guard as well. We have more blame to be placed on our shoulders than do the ones that slept.

Tyranny-Thomas-JeffersonAnd now while many of our once sleeping fellow Americans are waking in great number from a long political and civic slumber and asking, “How did we get here?” and screaming, “Somebody get me out of here”, the voices answering them in the dark are not Democrat or Republican. They are Progressive wrapped in your party colors and labels. Those voices are also very dangerous to our way of American life.

We trusted our leaders. We trusted the system would work with our input. We trusted that the promises being made and the scraps thrown to us would somehow be enough. We are told the other side is evil and that we have to promote our side or the evil ones will rule. Well guess what? Both sides are equally as evil. Both sides see you the average American as an impediment to their agenda.

The elite party architects do not want your participation in the process. It is easier for them to control a smaller number of loyalists’ than free thinking objective voters. They need just enough to “win” for their side in order to advance their self-interest and deception.

Our political tents, which are really private corporations, are dressed in a way so we only see the label and not the stitching that hold them together. Over many decades the party structures have been filling the politically active member’s heads with busy work and worthless pabulum in the form of legislative promises that never arise.

Instead of honoring their responsibility to America and her future, the party elite have been filing the pockets of politicians and faithful loyalists along the way in an effort to create some type of twisted loyalty to the process.

The two party structures are starting to look ragged out. The big tents façade is ripping.

And those recently refreshed from a long slumber are waking to find voices that will fulfill their anger and angst from inside. They feel duped that while they were enjoying their political and civic siesta, the American Experiment turned on them while others enjoyed excessive munificence at their expense.

They are screaming out of that same anger and angst and are demanding that it be “set straight“. They are scared. They are angry. They see the writing on the wall. And it is not “R” vs. “D” rhetoric they see or that scares them or makes them angry. No, they give little heed to your party rhetoric.

What they see after having arisen from a Rumple Stilt Skin style civic sleep is the same approaching storm we see. Many have seen this storm cloud forming for quite some time. Others just laughed while most slept. The storm has been produced by our lack of principled governance and outright camouflage of principles.

Sacred Fire of LibertyDuring the last half century a lot of American citizens declared they did not care anymore. They said they did not have time for politics or ethical debate in the public square. They went merrily along in a consumer’s paradise. They did so all the while believing that our destiny and future freedom would be tended to by those promising to fulfill their civic, political and legislative agenda in a way that is keeping with the principles that we have established as a people. They believed our grand experiment was too big to fail. Well guess what? They lied to you and it is failing.

True servants to the American Experience would have been guarding Liberty so it could be enjoyed as expected. Instead most have been raiding the treasury and redistributing the nation’s wealth to a league of elitist criminals and morally deprived men; all the while hiding behind the Flag and their political party. Many of these elected and party classes, at all levels, have been portraying virtue while stabbing you in the back.

All the while our public institutions of debate, religion and social guidance have let their voices and faith be muzzled. We have let our principles be buried.

We were taught that our political process was going to protect these ideals and values so we could just go about our day to day and enjoy the pursuit of those things we enjoy and desire. Instead, like Congress, “we the people” ceded our responsibility. We no longer stood guard.

We allowed the construction of two big towers of concealed Progressive darkness painted in the Red White and Blue on the outside for all to see. One with D on the door and another with an R. The door to the inside of the upper floors of these towers has been locked for a very long time. And now a bridge has been built at the top between these two towers of institutional inertia in an effort to advance the progressive agenda.

two-towers-of-progressivismLiberty and freedom are in great peril because of these actions and deceptions. We are a short walk from the long winter of National Socialism in America. This winter is nuclear in scale and has the potential to create a great cold amongst our nation and her people not seen since the civil war.

To my constitutionally grounded and principled fellow Americans of any political label, I offer to you that we are in some sense in this together. I also lend that in a way we are extremists. I say to you that if you are not taking heat for criticizing the machines that are destroying our social order and moral fabric, then you are part of the problem. Better yet, you are fuel for their continued existence and the continued looting of our national treasure.

If you promote an ideal that is opposed to the establishment agenda and display a potential to actually ACT to fight for that ideal, then you will eventually be labeled an extremist.

We are a threat, yes, but only to the progressive power establishment and their collectivist hordes that threaten our Constitutional sovereignty.

To be an extremist in the face of open conflagration against the principles of freedom and Liberty is to be on the right side of history.

Just make sure you know the ideals, principles and morals of the team you’re siding with while fighting back the existential crisis called power, greed, moral deprivation and Progressive idealism.

Is it our destiny, or political curse, to have to choose between the lesser of two evils at election time? Are we terminally incapable of acknowledging a fundamental truth: that democracy will never take hold until we change the undemocratic process that keep us in chains… and learn to govern ourselves, selflessly, for the welfare of all?

There is a solution. It sits before us all. It is mathematical in principle. It is simple in reason. It is there for the taking. We just have to decide to make it happen. Remain Independent in your thinking and question your leadership with great boldness.

It was never meant that our government be our moral guide or keeper. It was meant that a moral government preserves, protects and defends our Nation so that we could be a moral and principled people. We look to morally principled men to guard our liberty and freedom, not to legislate it.

We have traded the stages, scripts and directors of our cultural pillars away from “we the people” and into the hands of progressive rebels. We have eliminated our participation in public influence and debate, discussion and free thinking from the care and management of our society to the “government”.

We have ceded our Liberty as a people and fall shackled not to the phony legislated ideals, principles and morality of governmental edict, but to the legislators and their keepers interests.

Government, legislation, regulation and politicians are not our salvation. We will not solve anything in America by asking those that caused the problems to fix them.

Let us not follow in a world that is to be viewed through the lenses and filters of the Progressive agenda. Let us not look to the elected for answers, we must look to ourselves and the principles of the Constitution.

Be a light in the darkness of this political tumult. If not for others than for your own self honesty so you may resolve within yourself the truth. It may be all we have left.

Remember, when the watchdog sides with the wolf, it is the sheep that are the victims.

Marco and the NSA

20 Friday Nov 2015

Marco has helped build the Republican Progressive Establishment class from the inside out in Florida through his shadowy use of leadership funds. Now he wants to continue the use of General Warrants so the Federal Government can spy on you.

The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America is supposed to allow us protection from the government ransacking our personal goods and information. We told Merry Ole England, no more General warrants boys. If you want to see my stuff, get a judge to OK it with my name on a warrant.

George W. Bush, another Progressive cut from the same cloth as Marco, crafted a way to do that, sort of. He created a court system that is multiple stories down in the basement of a Federal building and it exists for no other reason than to act as a general warrant mill for the Federal Government. And all the while we are told that “general warrants” are not general warrants.

collect-citizen-data-1On the question of whether surveillance of every American’s phone calling is constitutional, the government and its defenders will rely on a 1979 case called Smith v. Maryland. In that case, the government caused a telephone company to install a pen register at its central offices to record the numbers dialed from the home of a suspected robber.

Applying doctrine that emerged from Katz v. United States (1967), the Court found that a person doesn’t have a “reasonable expectation of privacy” in phone calling information, so no search occurs when the government collects and examines this information.

It takes willfulness of a different kind to rely on Smith as validation the NSA’s collection of highly revealing data about all of us. Smith dealt with one suspect, about whom there was already good evidence of criminality, if not a warrant.
The NSA program collects call information about 300+ million innocent Americans under a court order (General Warrant). And the Supreme Court is moving away from Katz doctrine, having avoided relying on it in recent major Fourth Amendment cases such as Jardines (2013), Jones (2012), and Kyllo in 2001.

Let us not forget the archiving and analysis of financial and electronic communications on every American as well. The NSA is establishing personal dossiers on every single American, and Marco supports this steroid driven KGB style tactic for the sake of your safety.

In the minds of rational clear thinking free American people, the NSA spying program is simply a shredding of the Fourth Amendment and promotes the construction of the foundation of a government police state.

Marco Rubio has joined forces with Sen. Tom Cotton in an attempt to save the National Security Agency’s controversial phone metadata collection program that was set to expire at the end of the month. (Nov – 2015)

‘The Paris terrorist attacks remind us that no corner of the free world is safe from these savages, and it is our duty to defeat them by any means necessary,’ Rubio said in a statement. (Never let a good crisis go to waste)

I found his quote interesting. It speaks boldly about the thinking of our Junior Senator. It says that we cannot protect ourselves unless we violate the Constitution. It says, America is weak and cannot follow her own rules because a group of 14th century vagabonds with guns and bombs are throwing a temper tantrum.

The young first term Senator is implying that America must violate the civil liberties of her own people to protect them. “HOGWASH! “

gang of 8This stance is yet another alliance with the Progressive Socialist Left in American politics by young Mr. Rubio. First it was the “Gang of 8” now the Big Brother Government Spy Complex.

No one will argue we want to be safe. Duh, it is the first order of business for the Government. However, it must be done in a context of Constitutional frame work. Not some semantic self-justification of feel good emotional reasoning.

Remember, Marco is Jeb Bush’s protégé. He learned from one of the grand masters how to be a closet Progressive. Our young Senators ability to blend like a political chameleon is superior to most. He uses his boyish charms and immigrant past to slide his bow across the heart strings of American voters while all the while collaborating with the Socialist Progressives in DC on ways to strengthen their grip on America and her freedoms.

Reader, you have been warned, again. Marco is a well sculpted and crafted persona. Most see his quick news clips and salty retorts on the Sunday shows and fall for his facade. What lies beneath the suit though is another matter entirely. Did we not learn our lesson last time when we elected a Junior Senator as President?

November is Gun Free Month in America

I am sure we can all agree on this nugget of news. The world has been told, the American Government has spent billions of dollars arming (giving guns) to people in the Middle East. No surprise there.

When defending the action of giving guns to people (fast and furious, Benghazi, Syria, al Qaeda etc…) the administration has declared that they are arming the oppressed people. These are the same people that are fighting back the tyranny of an authoritarian dictator in the Middle East.

So let us look at this idea of people needing weapons to defend themselves against a tyrannical government. It is an interesting concept.

Is the administration saying that the Middle Eastern people need them to defend themselves against the governments in the Middle East because the leaders and government are oppressive and tyrannical?

Are they saying they need well armed militia in order to preserve their nation?

Is it because the governments of places like Iran and Saudi are killing unarmed people over their religious conviction or sexual persuasion?

Is it because women and children, both male and female, are entered into sex slave markets by these governments?

Well, that has been their argument.

The same American government has taken a position on guns in America. That position is you and I should not be allowed to have them.

It seems that we now need to be restricted in our use, ownership and ability to carry our weapons at home because lithium laced Ritalin popping young common core products are going bat crap crazy from the psychotropic induced fog in their heads.

It seems the Administration and the lemmings following their lead want to not only De-Ball the American people but they want to take away our right to self-defense and preservation. Because of course tyranny could never happen in America.

Shootings In Cambridge, Watertown Draw Massive Police ResponseThe proponents will tell you; of course we have nothing to worry about. Our Government is no place even close to tyrannical (cough) or in a position to become more autocratic and authoritarian. Don’t worry. The government will keep you safe! Right after they create a National Gun registry.

I’ll tell you what, in the interest of unity and cooperation how about we declare November Gun Free Month in America.

To demonstrate the resolve and complete lack of need for personal protection the entire White House staff and First Family will not have any weapons. They will just lock them away and declare their space a gun free zone. Then, the security personnel will do the same. They will wear a t-shirt stating that you are entering a gun free space. Sort of like the college campuses and movie theaters.

Oh and the Democratic puppets in the US Senate that had armed personnel at the press conference announcing the new gun control legislation, you get to begin in week two. Don’t worry though; you are in a gun free space. You are perfectly safe.

It seems perfectly reasonable to ask our leaders to lead, let them show the way. You know lead by example and all that rhetorical horse scat.

The hypocrisy from the administration is just another example of reality being turned on its ear for the sake of feel good bovine scatology.

Think about it. On one hand we are being told that the poor persecuted people in the Middle East need to defend themselves and in the same press conference we are told we need to have it made harder for you and me to exercise what is already declared and constituted into our National foundation of rights and beliefs.

“A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” – This is the one right that secures them all.

Feel free to exercise your First Amendment right on the issue and no need to thank me for my exercising of the second amendment to make sure you can use your first.

Banning firearms or imposing unreasonable restrictions not only goes against the spirit and letter of Constitutional Law, but increases the odds that innocent Americans will become targets of violent criminals like we have seen in “gun-free” cities such as Detroit and Chicago.

We realize that if you are a left-leaning gun grabber you could argue that I am merely throwing out Republican and Libertarian talking points, so don’t take my word for it.

Maybe the warnings from this little known author and Statesman will convince you:

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms…disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.”

Thomas Jefferson

We’ll be happy to give up our guns… just as soon as former New York’ Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and President Barack Obama remove their ARMED security details.*

Lead by example, right?

Federal Land ? Can you really have such a thing ?

Put aside the emotion and controversy from the latest Range War in Nevada. It is symptomatic of a much larger problem. Federal Land Grabs. I referenced a story from Range Magazine on this subject some time back and thought it might be timely to relink to the story.

Have you ever wondered how the Federal Government can buy up land using your tax dollars and declare that you cannot set foot on it ? Seems like it should be contrary to what Government is allowed to do. After all, don’t we grant the Federal Government the rights to do certain things? So how then did we get to a point that the Federal Government owns so much of America?

Federal Landgrab – How did they do that ?

CDC Reports Superbug Outbreak in Washington DC

The CDC today reported a viral outbreak of two superbugs known as Liearrhea and Denyarrhea. Fact or fiction seems to no longer matter anymore. It’s now blatantly obvious: spin a tale no matter how large for if it sticks – it’s now considered fact. And if they don’t believe the first lie – just readjust or recalculate the formulations to provide something they will believe. It’s becoming near maddening.

So I guess it truly is, “different this time.”DC SuperBug

Just what happens when it’s realized that puddle on the floor isn’t from unicorn tears but from someone who didn’t see a Depends commercial is now anyone’s guess.

As the Liearrhea bug becomes full on in it’s host, it then mutates and becomes know as the Denyarrhea superbug. All that have it will deny to the end that they are suffering from Liearrhea and will insist you must be crazy. They will then tell another falsehood to reassure you.

Down is Up – Up is down and everything seems to be inside out in Washington.

Stay Tuned – more to follow

Common Core vs. The Republic

02 Thursday Jan 2014

This is an open letter to my colleagues and peers on the State Committee of the Republican Party of Florida.

2 January 2014

To my fellow RPOF Committee members:

In advance of our Annual meeting I want to lend the following for your consideration.

Common Core and the Republic

Let me start with the most basic of definitions that are accepted in practice by all. They come from the dictionary. That way we can establish a “common ground” on which to begin this discussion. Let’s look at the two definitions and then extrapolate their meaning when combined.

From Merriam-Webster:

com·mon

Adjective \ˈkä-mən\

  1. belonging to or shared by two or more people or groups

core

Noun, often attributive \ˈkȯr\

  1. a central and often foundational part usually distinct from the enveloping part by a difference in nature
  2. an arrangement of a course of studies that combines under basic topics material from subjects conventionally separated and aims to provide a common background for all students
  3. the inmost or most intimate part

We could safely say that Common Core is a shared prearrangement of course studies. Or, we could say, that Common Core is an inmost or intimate collective foundation of teaching guidelines.  Or we could just look at the definition above and accept that it is an arrangement of a course of studies that combines under basic topics material from subjects conventionally separated and aims to provide a common background for all students

In other words, “common core” is a centralized regulatory bureaucracy of fundamental teaching requirements. “Common core” is much like the “Affordable Care Act”; both are federally centralized programs that create regulatory conditions the rest of us have to meet.

While proponents will say it is not a federal program, it is. The Common Core testing consortia funded by the US Department of Education (by “shovel ready” stimulus money) are developing the assessments for Common Core, which will drive classroom instruction.

We all know teachers are forced to teach to the test because assessments are intended to reflect their performance. States would be wise to withdraw from the Smarter Balanced and PARCC testing consortium if they don’t want to incur huge expense and if they want to protect personal student level data. The consortia’s contract with the feds requires them to provide student level data to the federal government.  It is to the credit of our Governor that we have done so in Florida. This is a good first step.

Here in lies the dilemma

Today we find ourselves in a place that opponents continue to argue against the theme of a “common core” as a dangerous ideological machine that has potential for indoctrination.

Proponents continue to argue that it is not a centralized or collective way of teaching all of the children in this country the same things in the same way.

So who is correct?

If these are to be the foundations of the argument then, to this end, there will be no resolve. It is not possible to argue the lack of merit of “common core” when proponents use emotion and subjective speech to explain it. Proponents do not have an honest foundation for their arguments and base their positions on semantics.

They attempt to decry the centralization by suggesting that testing standards do not equate to curriculum. Yet in order for a curriculum to achieve testing standards the curriculum must be tied back to the standard in order to succeed. For example, if a common or centralized standard mandates that “2+2 = 5”, then in order for my curriculum to be correct, I must teach the same.

Proponents will tell you that it is the nation’s governors and education commissioners, through their representative organizations the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) that led the development of the Common Core State Standards and continue to lead the initiative.

When in reality they are a smoke screen or cover. The Common Core testing consortia funded by the US Department of Education are developing the assessments for Common Core, which will drive classroom instruction.

It seems that reality has been turned upside down and inside out. When we as free thinking rational American adults cannot look at this for what it is and express concern without being chided and labeled as extremists we have a problem.

The problem my friend is apparent. It is philosophic. It is ideological. It is Liberty vs. Progressivism.

When discussing “common core” forget about the techniques and intimate delivery of the collectivist goal of “common core”. You will be lost in an esoteric battle of words. It is a battle that has been well designed and thought out by the progressive movement. What is at stake is the core philosophy of centralized education and its conflict with the American way of life and governance. That is the issue.

The argument to be made against this ideological monster is the Constitution. First, I would challenge any proponent to show me where there is Constitutional authority for this draconian mandate. What Amendment to the Constitution expresses given authority to the Federal Government for the management of our children’s education? This is not a rhetorical question. It is a foundational one. The same foundation we declared to be sovereign. The same that many of us swore to uphold.

Constitutional authority is not the same as “Regulatory Over-reach”.  It is that those powers not granted the Federal Government by the Constitution of the United States are then relegated to the States themselves. Not an agency or panel of experts.

Finding a way to establish an unconstitutional mandate through piecing together bait and switch facades does not make it proper or right.

Proponents will argue that a States acceptance of the program is proof that the tenth amendment is not being violated. They will say that the Governors and their people are driving it. However, it is important to understand the “common core” is a fiduciary requirement and outcome from previous Federal carrots eaten whole by the States. These are TARP and Race to the Top. The full extent of the contract known as “common core” was not available at the time of signature on these two agreements.

If the outcomes from previous federal dollar acceptance are not met then there is a financial penalty to the State. It is so great that most States are not willing or even able to take the step to reject it. So, the tenth Amendment argument to me is a thin one and was foreseen and manipulated by gamesmanship and near extortion by the proponents. “Common core” did not just fall off of a book shelf or spawn itself in whole from a conclave of Governors. It was designed and war boarded with extreme precision and progressive intent. The players have been lead down a path to ruin by deceit and greed.

From Whitehouse.gov:

“Race to the Top marks a historic moment in American education. This initiative offers bold incentives to states willing to spur systemic reform to improve teaching and learning in America’s schools. Race to the Top has ushered in significant change in our education system, particularly in raising standards and aligning policies and structures to the goal of college and career readiness. Race to the Top has helped drive states nationwide to pursue higher standards, improve teacher effectiveness, use data effectively in the classroom, and adopt new strategies to help struggling schools. “

The movement essentially bribed states into implementation via ‘Race to the Top,’ offering $4.35 billion taxpayer dollars to participating states.  And much like No Child Left Behind, the program promises national testing and a one-size-fits-all education, because hey, it worked so well the first time.

If nothing else, these standards are a glowing conflict of capital interest and they lack the research they allegedly received.

If we cede this over-reach to the Progressive idealists we have just set new precedent that will allow for a less progressive and more accelerated implementation of federally centralized programs and it will continue to consume your very freedom.

No, I say to you that the argument for this great body known as the Republican Party of Florida needs to be based on “Common Sense” and not on “Common Core”. Let the proponents explain to our great body how federally mandated centralized testing, measuring and outside corporate involvement in our children’s education is anything that resembles our principles as Republicans and Americans.

One of the top cheerleaders for “common core” is Florida’s former Governor Jeb Bush. It cannot be denied honestly that Mr. Bush was also the top cheerleader and architect for FCAT. FCAT is a system that evidently failed. In Mr. Bush’s own words;

“The Common Core State Standards are higher; they’re fewer; they require more critical thinking skills,” Bush said, “and they will, unfortunately, at the beginning, they will probably show that close to two-thirds of our children are not college and career ready.”

Mr. Bush isn’t worried that Common Core hasn’t been field tested, and he trusts experts who say Common Core more closely resembles international standards.

So am I to then surmise that the architect and proponent for FCAT is saying it was a failure therefore we should trust him on the new standards. If he was unable to orchestrate a successful State level centralized educational system to effectively train and teach our children, what makes you think he has the answer for a national approach?

Further, am I to understand we are now measuring ourselves on International Standards instead of being exceptional at home? Since when do we as Americans not have the rest of the world’s nation’s measuring against our achievement?  Why should we bring ourselves down to their standards? We are America. We should be working towards better than International standards for ourselves. We are exceptional when we try.

We were asked as good Republicans to cover Mr. Bush’s back on FCAT and support him while he was Governor. I for one have learned my lesson. I will not cover your six on this one sir. What is wrong for America is wrong, regardless of party affiliation.

The answer to all of this is simple. Scrap “common core” and return the teaching to the local level. But, do we as an institution and government have the will to do what is right? Do we have a structure and a system of which we are a part that is honest enough to take a stand for what is right?

The question should not be on the merit of the detail of “common core”. The question should be asked as to the health of our political systems and the state of our Republic that would allow for this idea to permeate our society and corrupt our culture. It should be asked if we have the will to defend our way of life.

There is a time to say NO and the time to do so is before your ability to say so is gone. Are we here to lead or are we here to be useful pawns in orchestrating the will of but a few that think they know better on how to serve the many?

What say you?
