Please Help
I am not an advocate of throwing money at a problem. But this is not a problem. It is a tragedy. Period. When tragic reality strikes in your vicinity it is hard not to be affected. It is harder still to not to desire to assist.
Less than a week ago, the life of Maribel Rosado was taken from this earth. Her estranged ex-boyfriend placed two bullets in Maribel. He did this while all six of Maribel’s children wherein the house. Her 10-year-old daughter was doing live distance learning with her class at the time. One of the bullets ended up hitting the computer she was using. The child is safe.
Maribel’s youngest child has severe downs syndrome. Another of her adolescent children has Autism. Her eldest daughter is seventeen.
Being the Commander of the local Veterans group found me in a position to bring the family and community together in an effort to help offset some of the financial turmoil that the family will undoubtedly be experiencing. Yesterday we raised $2000.00. We have a pledge for a matching 2k and other donations big, small and in between that are still coming in.
Maribel’s last words where:
“Please do not let my children get separated.”
We have pledged to do our part to make sure that request is made. We will do so not just with money but with unity, community and will. Our organization will be there for them after all of the grieving is done.
What they need now is all of us to show them that they are not alone and there is a way out of the tunnel that looks real dark right now.
Again, I am not an advocate of throwing money at a problem. But this is not a problem. It is a tragedy. Period. Please do what you can and please encourage your Board Rooms, Mangers and everyone you know to help these children out and show them that American’s do really care.
Here is a vetted Go Fund Me Link to show your support for the Surviving Children of Maribel Rosado.
